Guys, my oldest little guy starts Kindergarten this year! So with the school year quickly approaching, and after shedding a few mommy tears, we happily participated in the tradition of back to school shopping at the St. Augustine Premium Outlets. Because y’all know this budget loving gal is all about finding great quality at great prices. We made a list, knew exactly what we needed, and headed out for our first back to school shopping adventure.
One Stop Back To School Shopping
We had a few specific things on our list- backpack, shoes, socks, and maybe even a new hat. This kid loves hats! Thankfully St Augustine Premium Outlets offer lots of stylish name brands at great prices. Bonus, they are all within walking distance from each other. Because shopping with children can already be a challenge, I don’t want to spend half of my time driving, loading, and unloading. Pack a stroller, snacks, and you’re good to go.
$500 Shopping Spree Giveaway
Speaking of shopping with children, the St Augustine Premium Outlets will be having their Back To School Shopping Event August 4-6 with lots of fun to be had for the kiddos. Like a face painter and balloon artist on August 5th from 12pm-4pm. This event also falls on Tax Free Weekend which means more savings for you! If you need even more motivation to come out that weekend, the Outlets will be giving away a $500 Back to School Shopping Spree. Shoppers can register at the Mall Office (inside the food court) August 4-6 during office hours: Friday 8:30am-5pm. Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm.
Winner will be drawn on Monday. Oh and bonus, the first 25 shoppers to visit the mall office each day will receive a free gift. You’ll notice how mommy feels about her baby going to Kindergarten differs from how he feels about it.
Now onto shopping. We started off at Under Armour. My little guy is all about sports right now so I had a good feeling that he would enjoy looking at what they had to offer. Just when I thought I was over the sentimental feelings, I see this. He found a matching hat and backpack. I dare say he immediately looked like a Kindergartener.
Next up we needed some new shoes. Not just any shoes mind you, light up shoes. Because they obviously make you run faster and jump higher, obviously. My husband and I laughed at the fact that we both went through the “light up shoe stage” and loved them too. What I love about shopping at the Outlets is there are always great deals, on top of great deals. So these shoes at Skechers that were already marked down, were also buy one get one 50% off.
Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store
Our last stop was Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store. Although we are still in the heat of summer, I wanted to look for a light jacket for him to wear when the weather cools off and for those early, rainy mornings. I’ve always loved their classic styles and quality pieces that are so easy to mix and match. Here’s to hoping we can pass this jacket on to little brother in a couple of years.
We also found great deals at Aeropostale and Adidas. From workout wear to stylish school clothes, they had it all at amazing prices. Another great TIP for saving at the Outlets is to sign up for the VIP Shopper Club . You’ll get extra coupons, a free Savings Passport and more for your next shopping trip. Also, If you’re looking for a gift that all the new teachers out there would love, pick up a gift card!
Although this mommy is a bit sad that her baby is growing up, I’m also excited for the year of learning and fun that is ahead of him. This back to school shopping trip was a great tradition that we will continue for as long as possible.
