It’s no surprise that my love for all things vintage includes vintage style bathing suits! High-waisted bottoms and structured tops that flatter a woman’s body make for a great beach ready look that never goes out of style. I personally don’t want to buy a new bathing suit every year. I want one that I’ll love wearing for years to come. Sadly, these suits aren’t always easy to find. Trust me, I’ve tried for years! That’s why I’d like to introduce you to Kingdom & State. The Fit
A great fit can really make or break a bathing suit. Straps that wont stay up, bottoms that wont stay down, it’s no fun constantly adjusting a bathing suit instead of soaking up the sun! I was really happy with the fit of this Bombshell Top & Bottom. The fabric was stretchy where needed but still had great structure and support. I was happy to find that the bottoms were comfortable and not too tight around the legs ( as is the case with some high-waisted bottoms). The Top is a pull-over and doesn’t have a clasp in the back. But once you get it on it has a great vintage fit with underwire and boning. Bonus- the straps are adjustable and removable.
The Style
I really love the style of this suit! I grew up loving those classic beach movies where Frankie and Annette were dancing the summer away and all the girls looked amazing in their high-waisted suits. This suit reminds me of that. Timeless, flattering, and fun! I love the palm print! The colors were vibrant and fresh, and what’s not to love about palm trees?
The Accessories
There’s a reason floppy hats and hair scarves have held their own over time and are still found on store shelves today. This hair scarf was perfect for keeping the hair out of my face on that windy Florida day, and it definitely helps add a little chic to the crazy beach hair you are sure to be left with at the end of the day.
