4 Drugstore Makeup Dupes And One Splurge

Drugstore Makeup Dupes

Makeup Must Haves

If you’ve followed me for any length of time you know I LOVE a good bargain. It’s why I DIY, thrift store shop, and never pass up a clearance rack (sorry babe). So today I’d like to share 4 Makeup Drugstore Dupes and 1 item you may need to splurge on…

1. Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara.

I’ve always been a Maybelline kind of gal. I hate flaky, dry looking lashes-ugh! Their formulas all seem to coat well, last long, and look soft. What’s great about this one is how the wand is shaped. It separates and pushes them up better than soft wands do. So if you’re like me and never curl your lashes, this bad boy does it for you.

2 .Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Liner.

Ladies, if you’re trying to rock that winged liner, cateye look with a pencil, you’re making it so much harder. This pen makes getting even thin lines easy. Trust me! Do yourself a favor and get one.

3. Milani Color Statement Lipstick- Red Label.

AKA the perfect red. I searched forever – ok well for a few years, to find a red that didn’t look pink. I finally found it and I love the moisturizing formula. It stays on and gives that perfect pop of color.

4. Batiste Original Clean Dry Shampoo

As someone who has tried many, many different dry shampoos, I feel confident in saying this is my new fave- and at $6 it’s way cheaper than other brands. It does wonders for volume, so fine girls, I mean fine-haired girls:) like myself can rejoice to that! It does seem to lighten the hair at first, so it may be better for blondes. Brunettes can just opt for the version specifically made for dark hair.

5. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation

Ok so here is the splurge. We’ve all worn the wrong color foundation at one time or another. It’s not a pretty sight. Foundation should even your skin tone, not create a whole new tone. I have olive skin, and olive skin is hard to match at the drugstore. Believe me, I’ve tried. It wasn’t until I sat down at a Bobbi Brown counter that the foundation matched my skin tone perfectly. Their formula is yellow-based and matches tones like mine the best. No red or orange colors here! SO that is why I splurge, but because the formula covers great and is thin it lasts longer than other brands. Moral of the story-if your shade is hard to match, pay a little more and let an expert help.
